Good Old Paul...
So today I headed to the Good Food & Wine Show, and I was glad I went. Thanks to groupon I was able to buy a discounted ticket, which included entrance to the Bosch Chef kitchen to watch Paul Hollywood, I was so excited, I was a whole half an hour early, only to discover I was not the only one, nonetheless I managed to find myself a front row seat and just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Paul introduces his "assistant" - and it was none other than Australian Masterchef's Hayden Quinn... needless to say the ladies that were gasping for air, were only excited by the chocolate tart pastry on display.
The duo made an incredible Chocolate prune tart, that this Firstlady managed to get a slice of, by listening and getting the answer to how "old" is Mary Berry, if i had only known that the man was a Liverpool supporter I could have won the lost copy of his book! I was devastated... Liverpool FC has always been my nemesis as a Man Utd supporter. All of Paul's books are sold out and at this stage not available in South Africa. Lucky for all of us at the theatre today, Paul was happy to "meet" all of us and sign anything we wanted signed... I had nothing to get signed and didn't want yet another apron, and made use of technology to get my hands on the million dollar signature....and guess what it was a first for Paul!
