Taste of Mischief

Taste of Joburg...

Admittedly this is a bit of delayed post on my part, but the Taste of Joburg was the weekend of 28 September 2013, and the week that followed was super busy.Taste of joburg was great though. It was so much fun I went twice!  The first day, presented a lot of mischief with the girls...

Summer vibes

The ladies and I enjoyed the sun, and the were thoroughly entertained by the very random marketing stunt pulled by Dunhill. Bunch of guys in colour coordinated outfits, I assume each guy represented one of the cigarettes. Anyway the "lucky" guys just stood there staring into space and couldn't move or say anything- so I did the only thing I could.....
Under my Umbrella -rella!

Aside from the randoms... it was great to bump into some friends from my high school days (cant believe its been 10 years!).

Another familiar face, was one that had one of my girlfriends swooning, none other than Emmanuel Castis serenaded the crowd...

But I also found some great drinks, this absolutely delicious alcoholic ginger beer from Dragon brewing, is the best beer I have ever tasted.  Have you ever wished that your refreshing stoney had a bit more kick?  Well these guys solve that problem beautifully, not only is the beer refreshing it is super tasty!

You know when you love something it always finds you! Stumbled upon this great red wine from the Bottega family wines.

Young Sangiovese wines often have fresh fruity flavours of strawberry and spices, and take on an oaky, even tarry, flavor when aged in barrels. The Idiom Sangiovese stems from a northwest-facing vineyard, 1.11 Hectare, vineyard on Da Capo Vineyards with a soil composition of Granite/Tukulu (decomposed granite) and Table Mountain Sandstone.

That is the fancy part, all I know is that this wine is delicious, the best I have tasted in a while. I was impressed with their Bordeaux blend and cape blend, but this completely blew me away. You need to try this to believe me... http://staging.bottegafamilywine.co.za/
