Fashion Resale Fun...

So I hosted the first annual fashion resale the other weekend. I just wanted the environment to be a fun afternoon with a few cocktails and great clothes...

The cocktails were an absolute hit! The refreshing Minty Splash is so easy to make and tastes delicious. In a Jug Add 1000ml of lemon & Lime flavoured water to 350ml of Peppermint liqueur, lots of ice and fresh mint leaves, and you have yourself a delicious drink to enjoy in summer.

 

Setting up all the clothes, turned out to be a lot more admin than anticipated, so if you are looking at doing something like this, give yourself at least four days to do the pricing, labelling and stock take. All the items were priced between R20 and R400. Download simple and easy to use invoices from Microsoft office.

 

 

I found that the guests shopped better with a cocktail or two and some cheese and crackers in them.

And as you know if you put women, great clothes and fun together- you are bound to get an impromptu fashion show...

Lessons learnt:

 

• There is a great market for this
• Keep the drinks flowing
• Let your inner sales person come out - and negotiate everything!
• Start marketing the event months in advance
