Fashion Resale... First Lady Style...
So this idea came about from a conversation I had with my my fabulous friend Mrs
Khunou when she was at my house and we were playing dress up J… It was a comment she made about how she
would pay me for some of my clothes… and that got me thinking…It is spring, and an
ideal time to spring clean those closets.
There are just some items that are hard to give away- I
thought there are these two gorgeous Jenni Button dresses in my cupboard which
I have worn twice at the most, and two years later there they sit. And if you know me
well you will know there shoes that sit in my cupboard and have never been
worn…and handbags only used for a week …

How will it work...
So here is my thinking:
·
I will set up a resale shop, probably at my place (depending on numbers)
·
You will bring in your items that you are hoping
to sell (beforehand)
·
Unless an item is super spectacular I think the
price range should be R50-R400
·
I will get the items clean/ ironed/dry cleaned
(dry cleaning for your cost) and presentable (with price tags and the rest of
it)
·
I will provide, venue, light snacks &
refreshments
·
We have a fabulous resale sale and see what of
your stock we can sell
·
I get a 20% of your actual sales only (so I
don’t make a loss in this process) – no sale no fee
·
You take home whatever you can’t sell… and next
year we try again
If you are keen/ interested either to come and buy or to
sell – that would be great.
